FENN CUP WARM-UP EVENT

Saturday Sept 12th will be an 18 km Race!

This coming week Blast paddlers join the Fenn Cup Ocean Series Team with a warm up paddle. The standard Time Trial will be put on hold allowing competitors to paddling in a special warm up event.

Doug Lucas of the Long Reef SLSC & co-Race Director of the new Fenn Cup Series, Yanda
Nossiter, and Dean Gardiner are bringing their crack paddlers along with an open invite
to anyone competing in the Fenn Cup and Ocean Races to come down for a "warm up
race" at the Blast before the main events out on the ocean!

Doug is bringing two safety boats (IRB's) to run the course with you. We have a
photographer coming to capture the event, and we'll have the photo's online in a web
gallery for you to enjoy.

The course will be an 18km route, from the Blast Zone at Balmoral, up to the Roseville
bridge and back, it's a fantastic course, and we'll have the course map posted this week
on the new web site at:

http://BlastPaddlers.com

so keep your eye on the web site for the full event details! You'd be crazy to miss it!

We will be starting this event a bit earlier so we get you back to the finish line at a
reasonable time for those of us with kids to get to sports or swimming lessons, so you
don't end up with divorce papers being served ;-)

This will be a Race, not a Time Trial, but we will run it to a Handicapped set of start
groups, so you all have the same equal chance at the finish line - don't miss this race!
